This is by far our most popular kennel door! Half-glass doors blend the best of both worlds; gain visibility into the kennel while also reducing fence-fighting!
The lower ½ of the kennel door is solid to reduce gate aggression - the upper ½ has glass for better visibility
We learned years ago that having the lower half of the door solid greatly reduces fence-fighting. The more timid dogs can duck behind the solid portion; while the more aggressive dogs will still stand up to look around, they will eventually get tired and lay down.
Tempered glass for safety
We chose to use tempered glass because it is the most chemical-resistant and scratch resistant clear material available. Tempered glass (also known as safety glass) is heated to a high temperature before it is installed. This makes the glass incredibly strong! It also changes the glass crystaline structure so that if it does break, it will break into a bunch of small rounded pieces rather than large triangular shards that cut deep. Tempered glass is a required building code in many areas due to its strength and safety properties.

The kennel doors feature our patented gate latch
The door latch is the weakest point on a kennel. That is why we spent years developing a latch that will hold up to the rigors of the industry. From the small dogs that try to squirt out the bottom to the big dogs that push on the top of the gate, we needed a latch to hold them all! That is why our kennel doors feature a latch with 4 attach-points: more than anyone else in the industry! These extra latch-areas spread the forces the dogs put on the latch so that any one point is not taking the full brunt of the forces. Additionally, the latch will not hold dog hair or urine - which is the biggest causes of latches to fail over time! Our open-loop latch allows the hair, urine, and water to fall right through - keeping the latch clear of debris that might cause it to wear out prematurely.
